DCF Legacy Society Honorees

The Legacy Society of the Dearborn Community Foundation (DCF) is a group
of individuals who have made a dedicated effort to invest in our
community through endowments at the Foundation. These honorees live in
Dearborn County or have strong ties to our community.
DCF added two new members to the Legacy Society in 2009, bringing the
total number of honorees to 54. Legacy Society members have contributed
a significant charitable endowment at DCF to support charitable needs in
our community.
Some
have established scholarship funds, while others have established
designated or field of interest funds that support charitable
organizations and causes in our community.
Legacy Society members have chosen to make a difference in our community
today, knowing that their gifts will continue to give tomorrow and
forever into the future.
2009 Honorees
Barry and Fayla Nanz
Barry and Fayla established the Nanz Family Scholarship Fund in the
spring of 2008. The endowment was created to provide scholarships to
graduates of Lawrenceburg and South Dearborn high schools. Barry and
Fayla have chosen to allow their fund to grow for a few years before a
scholarship is awarded from the fund. Their intent is to impact the
lives of graduating seniors and/or past graduates of Lawrenceburg and
South Dearborn high schools to help them attain their educational goals
whether it is at a trade school, or a two-year or a four-year school.
Barry is a member of the Foundation’s board of directors and he and
Fayla along with their family members are leaving a legacy through their
endowment at the Foundation.
