SCHOLARSHIP FOR NON-TRADITIONAL FEMALE STUDENTS AVAILABLE
LAWRENCEBURG, IND., OCTOBER 1, 2014 – The Dearborn Community Foundation, Inc. (DCF) is accepting applications for a scholarship for non-traditional female students. The Foundation established the scholarship through its Women Empowering Women (wEw) Program – aimed at empowering women of all ages.
The Women Empowering Women Scholarship is designed to help a non-traditional female student who has not had the opportunity to attend college or to complete her post-secondary education started previously in life. One wEw scholarship up to $500 will be awarded to one woman. The scholarship may be applied to tuition, books and required fees.
The wEw Scholarship application and detailed guidelines are available at the DCF office, 322 Walnut Street, Lawrenceburg, or on the Foundation website: www.dearborncf.org. The application on the website can be downloaded and the applicant can type into the form. Applicants, however, must mail or drop off the applications at the Foundation office. Completed applications for both scholarships must be received in the DCF office no later than Noon on Monday, October 20, 2014.
