Order of Police Lodge #146 Scholarship Program

The Laughery Valley F.O.P. Lodge #146 Scholarship Fund
awards up to two separate
scholarships to each of the following school corporation areas
(including home school
students): |

- Lawrenceburg
- South Dearborn
- Sunman Dearborn
- Rising Sun
|
| |
| Scholarships will be awarded to individuals planning to
pursue a four-year Baccalaureate degree at an accredited college
or university and/or a two-year technical program certificate at
an accredited institution. |

| Amount of Scholarship(s): $500 |
| |
| Eligibility Criteria: |
- Must currently be a senior at a high school located in
Dearborn or Ohio Counties or a senior home school student in
Dearborn or Ohio Counties;
- Must have a 3.0 GPA or better through seven semesters of
high school;
- Must be accepted at an accredited college or university
and/or technical school program; and
- Must include written recommendations from:
- A full-time Indiana police officer;
- A high school representative (teacher,
administrator, coach, etc.) if you are currently
attending high school OR Dearborn County
Librarian/library staff member if you are currently a
home school student; AND
- A minister.

Evaluation Process:

Submit
your completed application to the Dearborn Community
Foundation, Inc. office no later than 4:00 pm
on
Monday, January 14, 2008.
- Completed application must include an essay addressing
the appropriate
question(s).
- Application will be reviewed for eligibility,
completeness, and professionalism; and
- Applications will be evaluated on the student's essay
and the extra-curricular activities you have participated in
during the past four years. The appropriate advisory
committee will make selection recommendations.
